Printre caracteristicile labwc se num\u0103r\u0103 minimalismul, implementarea compact\u0103, op\u021biuni extinse de personalizare \u0219i performan\u021b\u0103 ridicat\u0103. Efectele animate, gradientele \u0219i pictogramele, cu excep\u021bia butoanelor pentru feronerie, nu sunt sus\u021binute \u00een principiu. Codul proiectului este scris \u00een limbajul C \u0219i este distribuit sub licen\u021ba GPLv2.      <\/p>\n<p>Ca baz\u0103 se folose\u0219te biblioteca wlroots, dezvoltat\u0103 de programatorii mediului de lucru Sway, care ofer\u0103 func\u021biile de baz\u0103 pentru organizarea muncii managerului de compozit pe baza Wayland. Poate fi conectat addon-uri pentru implementarea unor func\u021bii, cum ar fi captura de ecran, afi\u0219area fundalurilor pe birou, plasarea barei de instrumente \u0219i a meniului. Pentru a rula aplica\u021bii X11 \u00eentr-un mediu bazat pe protocolul Wayland, este suportat\u0103 utilizarea componentului DDX XWayland. Tema de design, meniul de baz\u0103 \u0219i comenzile rapide sunt configurabile prin fi\u0219iere de configurare \u00een format xml. Exist\u0103 suport \u00eencorporat pentru ecrane cu densitate mare de pixeli (HiDPI).      <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Pe l\u00e2ng\u0103 meniul r\u0103d\u0103cin\u0103 integrat, configurabil prin fi\u0219ierul menu.xml, pot fi conectate implement\u0103ri externe ale meniului aplica\u021biilor, cum ar fi bemenu, fuzzel \u0219i wofi. Ca bar\u0103 de instrumente pot fi utilizate Waybar, sfwbar, Yambar sau LavaLauncher. Pentru gestionarea conexiunii monitoarelor \u0219i modificarea parametrilor acestora este recomandat s\u0103 utiliza\u021bi wlr-randr sau kanshi.
