Dezvoltatorii ALT Linux au prezentat un nou configurator pentru GNOME \u2014 Tuner, destinat simplific\u0103rii extinderii func\u021bionalit\u0103\u021bii \u0219i oferirii de set\u0103ri suplimentare. Se presupune c\u0103 Tuner poate fi utilizat de distribu\u021biile care furnizeaz\u0103 GNOME pentru a crea configuratoare menite s\u0103 modifice set\u0103rile specifice distribu\u021biei. De exemplu, pentru ALT Linux a fost implementat pluginul TunerPanel, care permite comutarea \u00eentre modul panou (\u00een stil GNOME 2) \u0219i modul standard al interfe\u021bei GNOME. <\/p>\n

Programul implementeaz\u0103 o arhitectur\u0103 bazat\u0103 pe pluginuri, permi\u021b\u00e2nd ad\u0103ugarea de noi sec\u021biuni de set\u0103ri, modificarea interfe\u021bei \u0219i extinderea func\u021bionalit\u0103\u021bii prin livrarea de pluginuri separate f\u0103r\u0103 a schimba codul aplica\u021biei de baz\u0103. Pentru crearea de pluginuri este folosit motorul libpeas, deja utilizat \u00een aplica\u021biile GNOME Gedit \u0219i Totem. <\/p>\n

Printre caracteristicile Tuner se men\u021bioneaz\u0103 simplificarea integr\u0103rii cu GSettings. Analog cu aplica\u021bia GNOME Refine, \u00een Tuner este disponibil un mecanism pentru crearea de widgeturi, folosind limbajul de construire a interfe\u021bei Blueprint. Astfel de widgeturi permit asocierea anumitor set\u0103ri din GSettings cu elemente ale interfe\u021bei create pentru modificarea acestora. <\/p>\n

Codul proiectului este scris \u00een limba Vala \u0219i este distribuit sub licen\u021ba GPLv3. Interfa\u021ba utilizatorului este construit\u0103 utiliz\u00e2nd biblioteca libadwaita, conform recomand\u0103rilor GNOME HIG (Human Interface Guidelines) \u0219i se poate adapta \u00een mod dinamic la dimensiunea ecranului. Sunt disponibile \u0219abloane pentru dezvoltarea de pluginuri tipice \u00een Vala \u0219i Python.
