Proiectul este utilizat \u00een distribu\u021bii precum RHEL, Fedora, SUSE, openSUSE, ALT Linux, Rosa Linux, OpenMandriva, Mageia, PCLinuxOS \u0219i Tizen. Codul RPM este distribuit sub licen\u021bele GPLv2 \u0219i LGPLv2. Versiunea RPM 5 a fost omis\u0103 pentru a evita suprapunerile cu proiectul RPM5, care nu este asociat cu RPM de la Red Hat \u0219i a fost dezvoltat de dezvoltatori independen\u021bi.     <\/p>\n<p>\u00cembun\u0103t\u0103\u021birile din a doua versiune beta includ suportul pentru semn\u0103turile digitale OpenPGP v6. Actualizarea aduce, de asemenea, solu\u021bii legate de verificarea pachetelor prin semn\u0103turi digitale. class=\"l\"> A fost implementat\u0103 capacitatea de a folosi mai multe semn\u0103turi OpenPGP pentru fiecare pachet.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Suportul pentru hash-urile MD5, SHA1 \u0219i DSA a fost suspendat.  <\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Func\u021bionalit\u0103\u021bile utilitarului rpmkeys pentru gestionarea cheilor au fost extinse, de exemplu, pentru a actualiza cheile OpenPGP, se poate folosi
