Proiectul se concentreaz\u0103 pe un design de calitate, destinat cre\u0103rii unui sistem u\u0219or de utilizat, care consum\u0103 resurse minime \u0219i asigur\u0103 o vitez\u0103 mare de pornire. Utilizatorii beneficiaz\u0103 de propriul mediu de lucru Pantheon. Imaginile ISO bootabile (3,3 GB) sunt disponibile pentru arhitectura amd64 (pentru desc\u0103rcare gratuit\u0103 de pe site-ul proiectului, utiliza\u021bi 0 \u00een c\u00e2mpul pentru suma dona\u021biei).      <\/p>\n<p>Pentru dezvoltarea componentelor originale ale elementary OS, se utilizeaz\u0103 GTK3, limbajul Vala \u0219i propriul cadru Granite. Ca baz\u0103 a distribu\u021biei, sunt folosite realiz\u0103rile proiectului Ubuntu. La nivelul pachetelor \u0219i al suportului pentru repo-uri, elementary OS 8.x este compatibil cu Ubuntu 24.04. Toate aplica\u021biile suplimentare disponibile pentru instalare prin intermediul AppCenter, precum \u0219i unele aplica\u021bii livrate implicit, sunt ambalate utiliz\u00e2nd formatul Flatpak.
