Compania Collabora a anun\u021bat progrese \u00een dezvoltarea driverului Tyr pentru kernelul Linux, scris \u00een Rust. Driverul este destinat s\u0103 func\u021bioneze cu GPU ARM Mali care utilizeaz\u0103 tehnologia CSF (\u0421ommand Stream Frontend), cum ar fi Mali G310, G510 \u0219i G710. Se men\u021bioneaz\u0103 c\u0103 Tyr a atins un nivel adecvat pentru a sprijini func\u021bionarea mediului desktop GNOME, serverului compozit Weston \u0219i a jocurilor cu ecran complet, cum ar fi SuperTuxKart. Tehnologia CSF, utilizat\u0103 \u00eencep\u00e2nd cu genera\u021bia 10 de GPU Mali, se remarc\u0103 prin externalizarea unor func\u021bii ale driverului pe partea de firmware \u0219i prin utilizarea unui nou model de organizare a execu\u021biei pe GPU. \u00cen GPU-urile cu interfa\u021ba CSF, \u00een locul modelului bazat pe trimiterea unei serii de lucr\u0103ri, se aplic\u0103 un model bazat pe fluxul de comenzi cu planificarea cozii de flux de comenzi pe partea de firmware. Pentru organizarea muncii planificatorului, \u00een GPU este integrat un microcontroler separat Cortex-M7, iar pentru executarea instruc\u021biunilor CSF este prev\u0103zut\u0103 o unitate special\u0103 de execu\u021bie a comenzii (Command Execution Unit).
