GitHub a blocat depozitul oficial al companiei chineze Rockchip, \u00een care se dezvolta modul MPP (Media Process Platform) cu un strat pentru acces la capacit\u0103\u021bile de accelerare a proces\u0103rii video \u0219i imagini pe chipurile Rockchip. Blocarea a fost efectuat\u0103 pe baza Legii privind drepturile de autor \u00een era digital\u0103 (DMCA) din SUA, dup\u0103 o pl\u00e2ngere din partea dezvoltatorilor proiectului FFmpeg. <\/p>\n

\u00cen februarie 2024, dezvoltatorii FFmpeg au identificat utilizarea \u00een codul modulului av1d_cbs din MPP a c\u00e2torva mii de linii de cod, direct transferate din decodorul H.265 dezvoltat de proiectul FFmpeg, care face parte din biblioteca libavcodec. Codul a fost transferat cu schimbarea licen\u021bei de la LGPLv2.1 la Apache 2.0, ceea ce este inadmisibil din cauza incompatibilit\u0103\u021bii acestora. <\/p>\n

Reprezentantul companiei Rockchip a recunoscut problema, s-a scuzat pentru c\u0103 nu a \u00een\u021beles incompatibilitatea dintre licen\u021bele LGPL \u0219i Apache \u0219i a promis c\u0103 va remedia \u00eenc\u0103lcarea \u0219i va \u00eenlocui codul \u00een urm\u0103toarea actualizare. Structura codului, numele identificatorilor \u0219i comentariile din fi\u0219ierele specificate sunt identice cu codul din FFmpeg, cu excep\u021bia apelurilor comentate la func\u021biile interne FFmpeg. \u00cen plus, la transferul codului a fost specificat\u0103 o alt\u0103 licen\u021b\u0103 (Apache 2.0), nota de drepturi de autor a fost eliminat\u0103 \u0219i informa\u021biile despre autori au fost \u00eenlocuite. <\/p>\n

Reprezentan\u021bii FFmpeg s-au s\u0103turat s\u0103 a\u0219tepte remedierea promis\u0103 a \u00eenc\u0103lc\u0103rilor \u0219i au trimis o pl\u00e2ngere DMCA c\u0103tre GitHub cu informa\u021bii despre \u00eenc\u0103lcare, dup\u0103 care GitHub a blocat depozitul. Ca m\u0103suri de remediere a \u00eenc\u0103lc\u0103rilor, se propune eliminarea din fi\u0219ierele de cod a declara\u021biilor false de autorstvo ale Rockchip, restaurarea notei ini\u021biale de autorstvo FFmpeg \u0219i trecerea la distribu\u021bia codului sub o licen\u021b\u0103 compatibil\u0103 cu LGPLv2.1.
