Anul trecut, driverul AMDGPU a fost adus la paritate cu driverul Radeon pentru familiile de pl\u0103ci video GCN 1.x \u0219i activat \u00een mod implicit \u00een codul de baz\u0103 al kernel-ului Linux 6.19, al c\u0103rui release este programat pentru luna februarie. Pl\u0103cile GCN 1.x au fost produse \u00eentre 2012 \u0219i 2019 \u0219i includ modele precum Radeon HD 77xx\/78xx\/79xx\/87xx\/88xx\/89xx, Radeon R9 280, FirePro W4000-W9000, Radeon Sky 700\/900, Radeon R9 265\/270\/370, Radeon R9 290\/390, HD 7790 \/ 8870 \u0219i alte pl\u0103ci video din familiile Radeon Rx 200 \/ Rx 300.    <\/p>\n<p>Printre planurile de dezvoltare ulterioar\u0103 a suportului GCN 1.x \u00een Linux, unele dintre acestea vor fi utile \u0219i pentru alte GPU-uri, cum ar fi familia Polaris.    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Implementarea suportului pentru modificatorii de format (DRM format modifier) pentru GPU-urile din seriile SI, CIK, VI \u0219i Polaris, ceea ce va permite utilizarea managerilor de compozitie bazate pe Vulkan, driverul OpenGL Zink \u0219i unele alte componente.\n<li class=\"l\"> Ad\u0103ugarea suportului pentru controlerele de afi\u0219are (display bridge) TRAVIS \u0219i NUTMEG, ceea ce va permite utilizarea AMDGPU \u00een mod implicit \u00een configura\u021bii cu APU din familia CIK.\n<li class=\"l\"> Refactorizarea gestion\u0103rii energiei. GPU-urile mai vechi folosesc un cod separat pentru gestionarea energiei, \u201eDPM\u201d, care difer\u0103 de codul principal AMDGPU. Unificarea codului pentru GPU-urile mai vechi cu restul va permite eliminarea ramurii separate pentru aceste GPU-uri, reduc\u00e2nd volumul de cod \u0219i simplific\u00e2nd \u00eentre\u021binerea driverului.\n<li class=\"l\"> Av\u00e2nd \u00een vedere \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021birile suportului GCN 1.x \u00een codul DC (Display Core), cum ar fi posibilitatea utiliz\u0103rii ie\u0219irilor video analogice, are sens s\u0103 elimin\u0103m codul vechi pentru aceste GPU-uri, care nu folose\u0219te DC, ceea ce va simplifica \u00eentre\u021binerea driverului \u0219i va reduce volumul de cod.\n<li class=\"l\"> Corectarea erorilor r\u0103mase, cum ar fi limitarea incorect\u0103 a puterii consumate de GPU Radeon 430, ecranul negru pe conectorii analogici Radeon HD 7790 \u0219i accesul la paginile de memorie nealocate (page faults) pe GPU-urile din familiile SI\/CIK.\n<li class=\"l\"> Suportul pentru texturi par\u021bial rezidente (partially resident texture, PRT).
