Proiectul Loss32 dezvolt\u0103 o distribu\u021bie Win32\/Linux, combin\u00e2nd kernelul Linux cu un mediu grafic \u00een stil Windows, construit pe baza Wine \u0219i a componentelor personalizate ReactOS. Distribu\u021bia este orientat\u0103 c\u0103tre recrearea mediului desktop Windows \u0219i ofer\u0103 instrumente pentru rularea f\u0103r\u0103 probleme a aplica\u021biilor Windows, dar suport\u0103 \u0219i rularea programelor tradi\u021bionale Linux. Spre deosebire de distribu\u021biile tradi\u021bionale Linux, \u00een Loss32 componentele spa\u021biului utilizator sunt \u00eenlocuite, dac\u0103 este posibil, cu Wine, iar mediul desktop este bazat pe aplica\u021bii \u0219i biblioteci Win32, precum explorer.exe \u0219i shell32.dll din Wine \u0219i proiectul ReactOS. Ca manager de compunere este folosit Mutter. Designul este stilizat dup\u0103 interfa\u021ba clasic\u0103 Windows, folosit\u0103 din anii '90 p\u00e2n\u0103 la \u00eenceputul anilor 2010. Sistemul permite \u00eenc\u0103rcarea \u0219i rularea fi\u0219ierelor exe cu aplica\u021bii Windows, a\u0219a cum se face \u00een Windows.
