Pentru a rezolva problemele \u0219i a sc\u0103pa de restric\u021biile licen\u021bei specifice ramurii Qt 1, baza de cod KDE 1 a fost portat\u0103 pe framework-ul Osiris, care dezvolt\u0103 un fork actualizat al Qt 2.3.2. Codul MiDesktop este distribuit sub licen\u021ba GPLv2. Versiunile gata realizate sunt disponibile pentru Debian 13 \u0219i Ubuntu 24.04.       <\/p>\n<p>Propriet\u0103\u021bile-cheie ale MiDesktop sunt numite simplitatea interfe\u021bei, u\u0219urin\u021ba \u00een utilizare \u0219i performan\u021ba ridicat\u0103. Dezvoltatorii \u00eencearc\u0103 s\u0103 men\u021bin\u0103 abordarea general\u0103 minimalist\u0103 de dezvoltare a sistemelor desktop de la sf\u00e2r\u0219itul anilor 1990 \u0219i \u00eenceputul anilor 2000, elimin\u00e2nd \u00een acela\u0219i timp dezavantajele sistemelor din acea perioad\u0103 \u0219i moderniz\u00e2nd baza de cod KDE 1, f\u0103r\u0103 a suprasolicita mediul utilizatorului cu func\u021bionalitate excesiv\u0103.          <\/p>\n<p>Pentru a rula MiDesktop, este suficient orice sistem Linux cu glibc \u0219i un server X, cum ar fi XWayland sau X.Org Server, sau un strat Wayback. Dintre dependen\u021be, sunt men\u021bionate bibliotecile libjpeg, libtiff, libpng, Osiris Toolkit 2.4.4+, libxcb, libxkb \u0219i gettext. Pentru compilare sunt necesare CMake \u0219i GCC 12+.     <\/p>\n<p>Printre modific\u0103rile din versiunea beta:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> A fost ad\u0103ugat\u0103 o nou\u0103 bar\u0103 de activit\u0103\u021bi MiPanel, bazat\u0103 pe versiunea KPanel livrat\u0103 cu Corel Linux.\n<li class=\"l\"> Au fost portate aplica\u021biile KCalc, KHexdit, KScreenshot, Ark \u0219i KNotes.\n<li class=\"l\"> A fost implementat suport complet pentru derularea cu roti\u021ba mouse-ului (anterior, derularea func\u021biona doar atunci c\u00e2nd cursorul se afla pe bara de derulare).\n<li class=\"l\"> A fost asigurat\u0103 afi\u0219area corect\u0103 a fonturilor (anterior, anti-aliasing-ul nu func\u021biona).\n<li class=\"l\"> Au fost rezolvate problemele cu dispari\u021bia meniurilor
