Codul proiectului este scris \u00een limbajul C \u0219i este distribuit sub o licen\u021b\u0103 de tip BSD. <\/p>\n<p>Printre modific\u0103ri:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> A fost ad\u0103ugat suport pentru a cincea edi\u021bie a formatului de fonturi ISO Open Font (ISO\/IEC 14496-22:2026), portat\u0103 cu ajutorul AI din biblioteca de aranjare a glifelor HarfBuzz \u0219i alte implement\u0103ri. Spre deosebire de a patra edi\u021bie, lansat\u0103 \u00een 2019, noua variant\u0103 a formatului Open Font permite acum plasarea a peste 65536 de glife; a fost ad\u0103ugat\u0103 tabela \u201eGLYF\u201d pentru contururi care combin\u0103 segmente cubice \u0219i conice; a fost propus\u0103 o variant\u0103 mai compact\u0103 a tabelei \u201eVARC\u201d, care reduce cu 90% dimensiunea fonturilor variabile cu hieroglife.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen rasterizatorul care asigur\u0103 antialiasing, prin alocarea dinamic\u0103 de memorie pentru glife mari, s-a \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021bit semnificativ performan\u021ba red\u0103rii glifelor mai mari de 40 ppem.\n<li class=\"l\"> A fost ad\u0103ugat un driver experimenta pentru fonturile HVF (Hierarchical Variation Font), furnizat de Apple \u0219i care func\u021bioneaz\u0103 deocamdat\u0103 doar \u00een macOS.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen interpretatorul formatului TrueType a fost extins suportul pentru tehnologia de antialiasing ClearType, \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021bind calitatea red\u0103rii unor fonturi, cum ar fi \u2018Comic Sans MS\u2019, \u2018Segoe UI\u2019, \u2019Calibri\u2019, \u2018Corbel\u2019, \u2018Constantia\u2019, \u2018Malgun Gothic\u2019 \u0219i \u2018SimSun\u2019.
