Un grup de cercet\u0103tori de la Universitatea Ca' Foscari (Italia) a analizat 90.000 de gazde asociate cu 10.000 dintre cele mai mari site-uri conform clasamentului Alexa \u0219i a concluzionat c\u0103 5,5% dintre acestea au probleme grave de securitate \u00een implement\u0103rile TLS folosite. Studiul a abordat probleme legate de utilizarea metodelor de criptare vulnerabile: 4.818 dintre gazdele problematice au fost supuse atacurilor MITM, 733 prezentau vulnerabilit\u0103\u021bi care permiteau decriptarea complet\u0103 a traficului, iar 912 permiteau decriptarea par\u021bial\u0103 (de exemplu, extragerea cookie-urilor de sesiune).<\/p>\n

Peste 20% din cookie-urile studiate erau expuse la scurgeri de informa\u021bii c\u0103tre persoanele care controleaz\u0103 subdomeniile.
