Aceast\u0103 versiune aduce \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021biri semnificative \u00een sistemul de memorie virtual\u0103, actualiz\u0103ri pentru Radeon \u0219i TTM, precum \u0219i \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021biri ale performan\u021bei HAMMER2.<\/p>\n<p>DragonFly s-a desprins \u00een 2003 din FreeBSD versiunea 4. Printre numeroasele sale caracteristici, se remarc\u0103 urm\u0103toarele:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Sistemul de fi\u0219iere de \u00eenalt\u0103 performan\u021b\u0103 HAMMER2 \u2013 suport pentru scrierea \u00een mai multe instantanee simultan, un sistem de cotele flexibile (inclusiv pentru directoare), mirroring incremental, compresie bazat\u0103 pe diferite algoritmi, mirroring multi-master distribuit. Un mecanism de clusterizare este \u00een dezvoltare.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Un nucleu hibrid bazat pe fire u\u0219oare, cu capacitatea de a rula multiple copii ale nucleului ca procese \u00een spa\u021biul utilizatorului.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Principalele modific\u0103ri ale versiunii<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Au fost efectuate numeroase modific\u0103ri \u00een subsistemul de memorie virtual\u0103, care au crescut semnificativ performan\u021ba, cu p\u00e2n\u0103 la 40-70% \u00een anumite tipuri de opera\u021biuni.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Multe modific\u0103ri \u00een driverul DRM pentru Radeon \u0219i \u00een subsistemul de gestionare a memoriei video TTM pentru cipurile grafice AMD.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Performan\u021ba sistemului de fi\u0219iere HAMMER2 a fost \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021bit\u0103.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>A fost ad\u0103ugat suport pentru FUSE \u00een spa\u021biul utilizatorului.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>S-a implementat izolarea datelor \u00een CPU \u00eentre sistem \u0219i utilizator: SMAP (Supervisor Mode Access Prevention) \u0219i SMEP (Supervisor Mode Execution Prevention). Pentru a le activa, este necesar suportul din partea CPU.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Pentru procesoarele Intel a fost implementat\u0103 o protec\u021bie \u00eempotriva atacurilor de tip MDS (Microarchitectural Data Sampling). \u00cen mod implicit, aceasta este dezactivat\u0103 \u0219i necesit\u0103 activare manual\u0103.
