Prin intermediul acestei vulnerabilit\u0103\u021bi, un atacator local care are acces la PostgreSQL poate executa cod pe care l-a scris cu drepturile utilizatorului sub care ruleaz\u0103 SGBD-ul, instal\u00e2nd o parol\u0103 foarte lung\u0103. De asemenea, vulnerabilitatea poate fi exploatat\u0103 pe partea utilizatorului \u00een timpul autentific\u0103rii SCRAM bazate pe libpq atunci c\u00e2nd utilizatorul se conecteaz\u0103 la un server PostgreSQL controlat de atacator.
