\u00cen publicat<\/a><\/noindex> \u00een edi\u021bia din 25 iunie a pachetului gem Strong_password 0.7 identificate<\/a><\/noindex> o modificare mali\u021bioas\u0103 (CVE-2019-13354<\/a><\/noindex>), care este responsabil pentru desc\u0103rcarea \u0219i execu\u021bia unui cod str\u0103in care este controlat de un atacator necunoscut, g\u0103zduit pe serviciul Pastebin. Num\u0103rul total de desc\u0103rc\u0103ri ale proiectului este de 247 de mii, iar versiunea 0.6 - aproximativ 38 de mii. Pentru versiunea mali\u021bioas\u0103, num\u0103rul de desc\u0103rc\u0103ri este indicat ca fiind 537, dar nu este clar c\u00e2t de precis este av\u00e2nd \u00een vedere c\u0103 aceast\u0103 publica\u021bie a fost deja eliminat\u0103 din Ruby Gems.<\/p>\n

Biblioteca Strong_password ofer\u0103 instrumente pentru a verifica robustetea parolei stabilite de utilizator la \u00eenregistrare.
\nPrintre<\/a><\/noindex> folosind pachetele Strong_password think_feel_do_engine (65 de mii desc\u0103rc\u0103ri), think_feel_do_dashboard (15 mii desc\u0103rc\u0103ri) \u0219i
\nsuperhosting (1,5 mii). Se remarc\u0103 faptul c\u0103 modificarea mali\u021bioas\u0103 a fost ad\u0103ugat\u0103 de cineva necunoscut, care a interceptat controlul asupra depozitului de la autor. <\/p>\n

Codul mali\u021bios a fost ad\u0103ugat doar pe RubyGems.org, repozitoriul Git<\/noindex> proiectul nu a fost afectat. Problema a fost identificat\u0103 dup\u0103 ce unul dintre dezvoltatori, care folose\u0219te \u00een proiectele sale Strong_password, a \u00eenceput s\u0103 investigate de ce \u00een depozit ultima modificare a fost ad\u0103ugat\u0103 cu mai mult de 6 luni \u00een urm\u0103, dar pe RubyGems a ap\u0103rut un nou release publicat \u00een numele unui nou curator despre care nimeni nu \u0219tia p\u00e2n\u0103 acum.<\/p>\n

Atacatorul ar fi putut organiza executarea de cod arbitrari pe serverele care utilizeaz\u0103 versiunea problematic\u0103 Strong_password. \u00cen momentul descoperirii problemei, pe Pastebin era \u00eenc\u0103rcat un script pentru a organiza execu\u021bia oric\u0103rui cod, trimis clientului prin Cookie \u201e__id\u201d \u0219i codificat folosind metoda Base64. Codul mali\u021bios trimitea de asemenea parametrii gazdei pe care a fost instalat varianta mali\u021bioas\u0103 Strong_password, c\u0103tre serverul controlat de atacator. <\/p>\n
