Malware-ul poart\u0103 numele GoBot2\/GoBotKR. Acesta se r\u0103sp\u00e2nde\u0219te sub forma unor jocuri \u0219i aplica\u021bii diverse, a versiunilor piratate ale filmelor \u0219i serialelor. Dup\u0103 ce au desc\u0103rcat astfel de con\u021binut, utilizatorii primesc fi\u0219iere care par inofensive la prima vedere. Totu\u0219i, \u00een realitate, acestea ascund un program mali\u021bios.<\/p>\n

Activarea malware-ului are loc dup\u0103 ce se face clic pe un fi\u0219ier LNK. Dup\u0103 instalarea GoBotKR, acesta \u00eencepe s\u0103 colecteze informa\u021bii despre sistem: date despre configura\u021bia re\u021belei, sistemul de operare, procesor \u0219i programele antivirus instalate. Aceste informa\u021bii sunt apoi trimise c\u0103tre un server serverul<\/a>, situat \u00een Coreea de Sud.<\/p>\n

Datele colectate pot fi utilizate ulterior de c\u0103tre infractori pentru a planifica diverse atacuri \u00een spa\u021biul cibernetic. Acestea pot include, printre altele, atacuri distribuite de tipul \u201erefuz de serviciu\u201d (DDoS).<\/p>\n

Malware-ul este capabil s\u0103 execute un num\u0103r mare de comenzi. Printre acestea se num\u0103r\u0103: distribuirea torrentelor prin BitTorrent \u0219i uTorrent, schimbarea imaginii de fundal a desktop-ului, copierea backdoor-ului \u00een folderele servicii de stocare \u00een cloud (Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive) sau pe suporturi externe, lansarea unui server proxy sau HTTP, modificarea set\u0103rilor firewall-ului, activarea sau dezactivarea managerului de sarcini etc.<\/p>\n

Nu este exclus ca, pe termen lung, computerele infectate s\u0103 fie unite \u00eentr-un botnet pentru a efectua atacuri DDoS. <\/p>\n
