Proiectul este destinat utiliz\u0103rii pe Linux \u0219i FreeBSD.<\/p>\n<p>Compatibilitatea cu i3 este asigurat\u0103 la nivel de comenzi, fi\u0219iere de configurare \u0219i IPC, permi\u021b\u00e2nd utilizarea Sway ca o \u00eenlocuire transparent\u0103 a i3, folosind Wayland \u00een locul X11. Sway permite plasarea feroneriilor pe ecran nu \u00een mod spa\u021bial, ci logic. Feroneriile sunt dispuse, form\u00e2nd o gril\u0103, care optimizeaz\u0103 utilizarea spa\u021biului ecranului \u0219i permite manipularea rapid\u0103 a acestora doar prin intermediul tastaturii.\n<\/p>\n<p>Pentru a crea o experien\u021b\u0103 de utilizator complet\u0103 sunt oferite componente suplimentare: <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/swaywm\/swayidle\">swayidle<\/a><\/noindex> (un proces de fundal cu implementarea protocolului KDE idle), <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/swaywm\/swaylock\">swaylock<\/a><\/noindex> (saver de ecran), <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/emersion\/mako\">mako<\/a><\/noindex> (manager de notific\u0103ri), <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/emersion\/grim\">grim<\/a><\/noindex>  (crearea de capturi de ecran), <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/emersion\/slurp\">slurp<\/a><\/noindex> (selec\u021bia unei zone de pe ecran), <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/ammen99\/wf-recorder\">wf-recorder<\/a><\/noindex> (captur\u0103 video), <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Alexays\/Waybar\">waybar<\/a><\/noindex>  (panou de aplica\u021bii), <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/source.puri.sm\/Librem5\/virtboard\">virtboard<\/a><\/noindex> (taste virtuale), <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/bugaevc\/wl-clipboard\">wl-clipboard<\/a><\/noindex> (gestionarea clipboard-ului), <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/xyproto\/wallutils\">wallutils<\/a><\/noindex> (gestionarea fundalurilor desktop-ului).<\/p>\n<p>Sway se dezvolt\u0103 ca un proiect modular, construit pe baza bibliotecii <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/swaywm\/wlroots\">wlroots<\/a><\/noindex>, care con\u021bine toate primitivele de baz\u0103 necesare organiz\u0103rii func\u021bionalit\u0103\u021bii managerului compozit. Wlroots include backend-uri pentru<br \/>\nabstrarea accesului la ecran, dispozitive de intrare, redare f\u0103r\u0103 a accesa direct OpenGL, interac\u021biune cu KMS\/DRM, libinput, Wayland \u0219i X11 (oferind un strat pentru a rula aplica\u021bii X11 bazate pe Xwayland).
