Dup\u0103 un an de dezvoltare publicat<\/a><\/noindex> versiunea proiectului Stratis 2.0<\/a><\/noindex>, dezvoltat de compania Red Hat \u0219i comunitatea Fedora pentru unificarea \u0219i simplificarea instrumentelor de configurare \u0219i administrare a unui grup de unul sau mai multe unit\u0103\u021bi locale. Stratis ofer\u0103 func\u021bionalit\u0103\u021bi precum alocarea dinamic\u0103 a spa\u021biului de stocare, instantanee, asigurarea integrit\u0103\u021bii \u0219i crearea de straturi pentru cache. Codul proiectului este scris \u00een limbajul Rust \u0219i se r\u0103sp\u00e2nde\u0219te<\/a><\/noindex> sub licen\u021ba MPL 2.0.<\/p>\n

Sistemul reflect\u0103 \u00een mare parte func\u021bionalit\u0103\u021bile extinse ale instrumentelor de gestionare a parti\u021biilor ZFS \u0219i Btrfs, dar este realizat sub form\u0103 de intermediar (daemon stratisd<\/a><\/noindex>), func\u021bion\u00e2nd peste subsistemul device-mapper al nucleului Linux (folosind modulele dm-thin, dm-cache, dm-thinpool, dm-raid \u0219i dm-integrity) \u0219i sistemul de fi\u0219iere XFS. Spre deosebire de ZFS \u0219i Btrfs, componentele Stratis func\u021bioneaz\u0103 doar \u00een spa\u021biul utilizatorului \u0219i nu necesit\u0103 \u00eenc\u0103rcarea modulelor specifice pentru nucleu. Proiectul este prezentat ini\u021bial ca f\u0103r\u0103 necesitate de<\/a><\/noindex> cuno\u0219tin\u021be de expert \u00een sisteme de stocare pentru administrare. <\/p>\n

Pentru gestionare, este oferit un API D-Bus \u0219i un utilitar cli<\/a><\/noindex>.
\nFunc\u021bionarea Stratis a fost testat\u0103 cu dispozitive de blocare bazate pe LUKS (parti\u021bii criptate), mdraid, dm-multipath, iSCSI, volume logice LVM, precum \u0219i cu diferite HDD-uri, SSD-uri \u0219i unit\u0103\u021bi NVMe. Atunci c\u00e2nd exist\u0103 un singur disc \u00een grup, Stratis permite utilizarea parti\u021biilor logice cu suport pentru instantanee pentru revenirea la modific\u0103ri. C\u00e2nd se adaug\u0103 mai multe unit\u0103\u021bi \u00een grup, apare posibilitatea de a combina logic unit\u0103\u021bile \u00eentr-o zon\u0103 continu\u0103. \nRAID, comprimarea datelor, deduplicarea \u0219i organizarea redundan\u021bei nu sunt \u00eenc\u0103 suportate, dar sunt planificate pentru viitor.<\/p>\n

\u00cen nou<\/a><\/noindex> versiune<\/a><\/noindex> cerin\u021bele pentru versiunea compilatorului Rust au crescut (minim 1.37, dar se recomand\u0103 1.38). Schimbarea semnificativ\u0103 a num\u0103rului versiunii este legat\u0103 de redenumirea unor interfe\u021be D-Bus \u0219i de reproiectarea modului de lucru cu D-Bus (a fost definit un set de propriet\u0103\u021bi fundamentale primare, iar celelalte propriet\u0103\u021bi sunt acum solicitate printr-o nou\u0103 metod\u0103 FetchProperties).<\/p>\n
