Cercet\u0103torii \u00een securitate de la compania chinez\u0103 Tencent au prezentat<\/a><\/noindex> o nou\u0103 variant\u0103 a vulnerabilit\u0103\u021bii Magellan<\/a><\/noindex> (CVE-2019-13734<\/a><\/noindex>), care permite executarea de cod prin procesarea unor construc\u021bii SQL formulate \u00eentr-un anumit mod \u00een baza de date SQLite. O vulnerabilitate similar\u0103 a fost publicat\u0103<\/a><\/noindex> descoperit\u0103 de aceia\u0219i cercet\u0103tori acum un an. Vulnerabilitatea este remarcabil\u0103 prin faptul c\u0103 permite atacarea de la distan\u021b\u0103 a browserului Chrome \u0219i ob\u021binerea controlului asupra sistemului utilizatorului prin deschiderea unor pagini web controlate de atacatori. <\/p>\n

Atacul asupra Chrome\/Chromium se realizeaz\u0103 prin API WebSQL, a c\u0103rui implementare se bazeaz\u0103 pe codul SQLite. Atacurile asupra altor aplica\u021bii sunt posibile doar dac\u0103 acestea permit transmiterea \u00een SQLite a construc\u021biilor SQL venite din exterior, de exemplu, folosesc SQLite ca format pentru schimbul de date. Chromium a fost deja actualizat \u00een toate distribu\u021biile \u0219i nu este afectat de vulnerabilitate, dar problema poate afecta diverse browsere \u0219i aplica\u021bii ter\u021be care utilizeaz\u0103 motorul Chromium, precum \u0219i aplica\u021biile Android bazate pe Webview.<\/p>\n

De asemenea, \u00een SQLite au fost descoperite 4 probleme mai pu\u021bin periculoase (CVE-2019-13750<\/a><\/noindex>, CVE-2019-13751<\/a><\/noindex>, CVE-2019-13752<\/a><\/noindex>, CVE-2019-13753<\/a><\/noindex>), care pot duce la scurgeri de informa\u021bii \u0219i ocolirea restric\u021biilor (pot fi folosite ca factori \u00eenso\u021bitori pentru atacurile asupra Chrome). Problemele men\u021bionate au fost remediate \u00een codul SQLite pe 13 decembrie. \u00cen total, aceste probleme au permis cercet\u0103torilor s\u0103 preg\u0103teasc\u0103 un exploat func\u021bional, permi\u021b\u00e2nd executarea de cod \u00een contextul procesului Chromium, responsabil pentru redare.<\/p>\n
