Proiectul este destinat utiliz\u0103rii pe Linux \u0219i FreeBSD.<\/p>\n<p>Compatibilitatea cu i3 este asigurat\u0103 la nivel de comenzi, fi\u0219iere de configurare \u0219i IPC, permi\u021b\u00e2nd utilizarea Sway ca o \u00eenlocuire transparent\u0103 a i3, folosind Wayland \u00een locul X11. Sway permite plasarea feroneriilor pe ecran nu \u00een mod spa\u021bial, ci logic. Wlroots include backend-uri pentru<br \/>\nabstrarea accesului la ecran, dispozitive de intrare, redare f\u0103r\u0103 a accesa direct OpenGL, interac\u021biune cu KMS\/DRM, libinput, Wayland \u0219i X11 (oferind un strat pentru a rula aplica\u021bii X11 bazate pe Xwayland).
