Timeshift este un sistem de backup care utilizeaz\u0103 rsync cu crearea de linkuri dure sau snapshots Btrfs pentru a implementa o func\u021bionalitate similar\u0103 cu System Restore pe Windows \u0219i Time Machine pe macOS. Programul este inclus \u00een repositoarele multor distribu\u021bii \u0219i este folosit implicit \u00een PCLinuxOS \u0219i Linux Mint. Vulnerabilitatea a fost remediat\u0103 \u00een versiunea <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/teejee2008\/timeshift\/releases\/tag\/v20.03\">Timeshift 20.03<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n<p>Problema este cauzat\u0103 de o gestionare incorect\u0103 a directorului public \/tmp. Atunci c\u00e2nd creeaz\u0103 un backup, programul creeaz\u0103 directorul \/tmp\/timeshift, \u00een care se creeaz\u0103 un subdirector cu un nume aleatoriu, con\u021bin\u00e2nd un script shell cu comenzi, care este executat cu privilegii de root. Subdirectorul cu scriptul are un nume imprevizibil, dar \/tmp\/timeshift este previzibil \u0219i nu este verificat pentru substituirea sau crearea unei leg\u0103turi simbolice \u00een locul s\u0103u.
