\u00cen cadrul proiectului NsCDE<\/a><\/noindex> (Not so Common Desktop Environment) dezvolt\u0103 un mediu de desktop care ofer\u0103 o interfa\u021b\u0103 retro \u00een stil CDE<\/a><\/noindex> (Common Desktop Environment), adaptat pentru utilizarea pe sisteme Unix-like moderne \u0219i Linux. Mediu bazat pe managerul de feronice FVWM<\/a><\/noindex> cu teme de design, aplica\u021bii, patch-uri \u0219i extensii pentru a recrea desktop-ul original CDE. Codul proiectului se r\u0103sp\u00e2nde\u0219te<\/a><\/noindex> este sub licen\u021ba GPLv3. Extensiile sunt scrise<\/a><\/noindex> \u00een Python \u0219i Shell.<\/p>\n

Scopul proiectului este de a oferi un mediu confortabil \u0219i prietenos pentru iubitorii stilului retro, care suport\u0103 tehnologii moderne \u0219i nu provoac\u0103 disconfort din cauza lipsei de func\u021bionalitate. Pentru a oferi aplica\u021biilor utilizatorilor un stil CDE, au fost create generatoare de teme pentru Xt, Xaw, Motif, GTK2, GTK3, Qt4 \u0219i Qt5, care permit stilizarea majorit\u0103\u021bii programelor folosind X11 \u00eentr-o interfa\u021b\u0103 retro. NsCDE permite combinarea stilului CDE cu tehnologii moderne, cum ar fi rasterizarea fonturilor folosind XFT, Unicode, meniuri dinamice \u0219i func\u021bionale, birouri virtuale, appleturi, fundaluri de birou, teme de design\/ipicte \u0219i altele.<\/p>\n
