Trecerea la versiuni mai recente este \u00eempiedicat\u0103 de <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=37377\">schimbarea licen\u021bei<\/a><\/noindex> Berkeley DB 6 la AGPLv3, cerin\u021bele c\u0103reia se aplic\u0103 \u0219i aplica\u021biilor ce utilizeaz\u0103 BerkeleyDB sub form\u0103 de bibliotec\u0103 (RPM <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/rpm-software-management\/rpm\/blob\/master\/COPYING\">este livrat<\/a><\/noindex> sub GPLv2, iar AGPL <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gnu.org\/licenses\/license-list.en.html#AGPL\">nu este compatibil\u0103<\/a><\/noindex> cu GPLv2).<\/p>\n<p>\u00cen plus, implementarea actual\u0103<br \/>\na rpmdb bazat\u0103 pe BerkeleyDB nu ofer\u0103 fiabilitatea necesar\u0103, deoarece nu utilizeaz\u0103 tranzac\u021bii \u0219i nu poate detecta discrepan\u021bele \u00een Baz\u0103 de date. Modific\u0103rile necesare pentru utilizarea SQLite vor fi propuse \u00een versiunea <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/fedoraproject.org\/wiki\/Changes\/RPM-4.16\">RPM 4.16<\/a><\/noindex>. Pentru a transforma formatul bazei de date, va fi suficient s\u0103 folosi\u021bi comanda &#171;rpmdb &#8212;rebuilddb&#187;.<br \/>\nNoua implementare a rpmdb este planificat\u0103 s\u0103 fie inclus\u0103 \u00een Fedora 33, p\u0103str\u00e2nd \u00een acela\u0219i timp suportul pentru BerkeleyDB pentru compatibilitate. \u00cen Fedora 34, suportul pentru BerkeleyDB va fi trecut \u00een modul
