Dezvoltarea se face \u00een baza unui acord cu compania SGI, care permite recrearea complet\u0103 a tuturor func\u021biilor IRIX Interactive Desktop pentru platforma Linux pe arhitecturile x86_64 \u0219i ia64. Codurile surs\u0103 sunt disponibile la cerere \u0219i constau dintr-o combina\u021bie de cod proprietar (\u00een conformitate cu cerin\u021bele acordului cu SGI) \u0219i cod sub diverse licen\u021be deschise. Versiunea interfe\u021bei pentru Linux  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/maxxinteractive.com\/books\/misc\/page\/not-just-a-theme\">a fost implementat\u0103<\/a><\/noindex> func\u021bioneaz\u0103 deasupra managerului de feronerie 5dwm (bazat pe managerul de feronerie OpenMotif) \u0219i bibliotecilor SGI-Motif. Func\u021bionarea interfe\u021bei grafice este implementat\u0103 cu utilizarea OpenGL pentru accelerare hardware \u0219i efecte vizuale. De asemenea, pentru a accelera performan\u021ba \u0219i a reduce sarcina pe CPU, este organizat\u0103 procesarea multithreading a opera\u021biunilor \u0219i externalizarea sarcinilor de calcul pe GPU. memorie, utilitar pentru schimbarea temelor, set\u0103ri extinse ale desktopului, emulator de terminal actualizat, MaXX Launcher pentru simplificarea lans\u0103rii programelor, ImageViewer pentru
