Vulnerabilitatea este cauzat\u0103 de o condi\u021bie de competi\u021bie care apare \u00een timpul scan\u0103rii fi\u0219ierelor malware, permi\u021b\u00e2nd utilizatorului cu acces shell s\u0103 substituie directorul vizat pentru scanare cu un link simbolic care indic\u0103 o alt\u0103 cale.\n<p>De exemplu, un atacator poate crea un director \u201e\/home\/user\/exploit\/\u201d \u0219i poate \u00eenc\u0103rca un fi\u0219ier cu o semn\u0103tur\u0103 de testare a virusului, denumind acest fi\u0219ier \u201epasswd\u201d.
