Pe 9 septembrie a fost \u00eencheiat testul beta \u00eendelungat \u0219i a fost lansat\u0103 versiunea final\u0103 a simulatorului de zbor X-Plane 11.50. Principala noutate din aceast\u0103 versiune este portarea motorului de randare de la OpenGL la Vulkan \u2014 ceea ce \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021be\u0219te semnificativ performan\u021ba \u0219i rata de cadre \u00een condi\u021bii normale (adic\u0103 nu doar \u00een benchmark-uri).<\/p>\n

X-Plane este un simulator de zbor multiplatform\u0103 (GNU\/Linux, macOS, Windows, de asemenea Android \u0219i iOS) dezvoltat de compania Laminar Research, bazat pe principiul «tubului aerodinamic virtual» (teoria elementului de lam\u0103), ce presupune utilizarea unui model tridimensional standard al aparatului de zbor pentru calculele fizice.<\/p>\n

Spre deosebire de majoritatea simulatorilor de zbor comerciali bine cunoscu\u021bi, care se bazeaz\u0103 pe modele empirice medii, aceast\u0103 abordare permite o simulare mai precis\u0103 a comportamentului aeronavelor \u00eentr-o gam\u0103 mai larg\u0103 de condi\u021bii (cu alte cuvinte, ofer\u0103 un realism mai mare) \u0219i chiar are o anumit\u0103 putere predictiv\u0103 (cu alte cuvinte, se poate desena un vehicul imaginar \u0219i acesta va zbura a\u0219a cum a fost desenat).<\/p>\n

Datorit\u0103 refacerii motorului grafic, \u00een aceast\u0103 lansare exist\u0103 probleme de compatibilitate cu anumite pluginuri \u0219i modele ter\u021be; lista problemelor cunoscute este disponibil\u0103 \u00een Notele versiunii<\/a>. Cele mai multe dintre aceste probleme pot fi temporar evitate prin revenirea la motorul OpenGL.<\/p>\n
