GitHub a anun\u021bat resetarea tuturor sesiunilor autentificate pe GitHub.com \u0219i necesitatea reconect\u0103rii la serviciu din cauza unei probleme de securitate. Se observ\u0103 c\u0103 problema apare foarte rar \u0219i afecteaz\u0103 doar un num\u0103r mic de sesiuni, dar prezint\u0103 un risc semnificativ, deoarece permite unui utilizator autentificat s\u0103 acceseze sesiunea altui utilizator. <\/p>\n

Vulnerabilitatea este cauzat\u0103 de o stare de competi\u021bie \u00een procesarea cererilor de c\u0103tre backend \u0219i duce la redirec\u021bionarea sesiunii unui utilizator \u00een browserul altui utilizator, ceea ce permite accesul complet la cookie-ul de sesiune al unei ter\u021be p\u0103r\u021bi. Se estimeaz\u0103 c\u0103 redirec\u021bionarea gre\u0219it\u0103 a afectat aproximativ 0.001% din toate sesiunile autentificate pe GitHub.com. Se sus\u021bine c\u0103 o astfel de redirec\u021bionare a avut loc \u00een circumstan\u021be accidentale care nu pot fi provocate inten\u021bionat de ac\u021biunile unui atacator. Modific\u0103rile care au generat problema au fost implementate pe 8 februarie \u0219i remediate pe 5 martie. Pe 8 martie au fost ad\u0103ugate verific\u0103ri suplimentare pentru o protec\u021bie mai general\u0103 \u00eempotriva acestui tip de erori.
