GNU Assembly este prezentat ca o platform\u0103 pentru colaborarea dezvoltatorilor de pachete GNU, care ac\u021bioneaz\u0103 \u00een interesul libert\u0103\u021bii utilizatorilor \u0219i \u00eemp\u0103rt\u0103\u0219esc viziunea propus\u0103 a proiectului GNU.       <\/p>\n<p>GNU Assembly se pozi\u021bioneaz\u0103 ca un nou c\u0103min pentru dezvoltatori \u0219i mentori ai proiectelor GNU, care nu sunt mul\u021bumi\u021bi de actuala organizare a gestion\u0103rii. Modelul de gestionare al GNU Assembly nu este \u00eenc\u0103 complet definit \u0219i se afl\u0103 \u00een stadiu de discu\u021bie. Ca modele de referin\u021b\u0103, se ia \u00een considerare organizarea gestion\u0103rii \u00een cadrul GNOME Foundation \u0219i Debian.     <\/p>\n<p>Printre principiile cheie ale proiectului se num\u0103r\u0103 transparen\u021ba tuturor proceselor \u0219i discu\u021biilor, luarea deciziilor colective pe baza consensului \u0219i respectarea codului de conduit\u0103, care salut\u0103 diversitatea participan\u021bilor \u0219i interac\u021biunile prietenoase.
