De exemplu, modulul poate proteja \u00eempotriva modific\u0103rilor neautorizate \u00een nucleul \u00een func\u021biune \u0219i a \u00eencerc\u0103rilor de modificare a permisiunilor proceselor utilizator. Modulul este adecvat at\u00e2t pentru a proteja \u00eempotriva exploiturilor unor vulnerabilit\u0103\u021bi de nucleu deja cunoscute (de exemplu, \u00een situa\u021bii \u00een care este problematic s\u0103 actualiza\u021bi nucleul), c\u00e2t \u0219i pentru a face fa\u021b\u0103 exploiturilor pentru vulnerabilit\u0103\u021bi \u00eenc\u0103 necunoscute. Codul proiectului este distribuit sub licen\u021ba GPLv2.    <\/p>\n<p>Printre modific\u0103rile din noua versiune:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\">   S-a asigurat compatibilitatea cu nucleele Linux de la 5.8 la 5.12, precum \u0219i cu nucleele stabile 5.4.87 \u0219i mai recent (inclusiv inova\u021biile din nucleele 5.8 \u0219i mai recente) \u0219i cu nucleele din versiunile RHEL p\u00e2n\u0103 la 8.4, men\u021bin\u00e2nd suportul pentru toate versiunile anterioare de nucleu, cum ar fi nucleele din RHEL 7;\n<li class=\"l\">   S-a ad\u0103ugat posibilitatea de a construi LKRG nu doar ca modul extern, ci \u0219i ca parte a arborelui nucleului Linux, inclusiv integrarea \u00een imaginile nucleului;\n<li class=\"l\">   S-a ad\u0103ugat suport pentru multe configura\u021bii suplimentare ale ad\u0103ugat integrarea cu out-of-tree \u0219i mkosi;\n<li class=\"l\">   Depozitul proiectului a fost mutat de la BitBucket la GitHub \u0219i s-a ad\u0103ugat integrarea continu\u0103 folosind GitHub Actions \u0219i mkosi, inclusiv verificarea construc\u021biei \u0219i \u00eenc\u0103rcarea LKRG \u00een nucleele versiunilor Ubuntu, precum \u0219i \u00een construc\u021biile zilnice oferite de
