Projekt je zameran\u00fd na pou\u017eitie v Linuxe a FreeBSD.<\/p>\n<p>Kompatibilita s i3 je zabezpe\u010den\u00e1 na \u00farovni pr\u00edkazov, konfigura\u010dn\u00fdch s\u00faborov a IPC, \u010do umo\u017e\u0148uje pou\u017e\u00edva\u0165 Sway ako transparentn\u00fa n\u00e1hradu i3, ktor\u00e1 pou\u017e\u00edva Wayland namiesto X11. Sway umo\u017e\u0148uje umiestnenie okien na obrazovke nie priestorovo, ale logicky. Wlroots zah\u0155\u0148a backendy na<br \/>\nabstrakciu pr\u00edstupu k obrazovke, vstupn\u00fdm zariadeniam, kreslenie bez priameho kontaktu s OpenGL, interakciu s KMS\/DRM, libinput, Wayland a X11 (poskytuje medzi\u010dl\u00e1nok pre spustenie aplik\u00e1ci\u00ed X11 na b\u00e1ze Xwayland).
