Daniel Robbins (drobbins) announced that he has decided to end the Funtoo Linux project: "All Good Things Must Come to an End…".
Kratko:
- drobbins is tired;
- there is no new BDFL;
- he will not be looking for a successor or transferring the project;
- Funtoo Linux will exist in some form until the end of August.
An unpleasant but expected decision against the backdrop of Daniel's declining activity.
It all started with the disconnection of the project's Jira bug tracker a couple of days ago. Whether there was any drama in the bug tracker or in Discord prior to that is unknown.
