Pravila uvajanja hrane

Kaj bo, če dva meseca starega otroka nahranimo z Big Macom?

No, the answer is obvious: muscles train only when it’s hard. Regardless of the goal—endurance, strength, hypertrophy (muscle growth). The details of the process differ, but the overall approach is the same: development happens through pain. The main thing is that the pain is bearable; otherwise, it leads to injury.

Let’s get back to our topic. The task should be designed in such a way that a person can accomplish it, but with effort. Then they will meet the metrics and develop.

Isn’t that obvious, you might say? Well, yes, if the mentor is adequate or there’s a ready training program for interns. But how often does that actually happen?

Not very often. In our village, there were many cases where the older brother (around five years old) fed the younger brother (about two years old) hot potatoes. But there were even more cases when the mentor feeds the intern 'hot potatoes'.

On one hand, it’s possible that the mentor just doesn’t know how (like that five-year-old boy). After all, he’s a cool guy, and he has all the context of the tasks right in the RAM of his head. He just doesn’t understand how one can not know what npm prune is. Or does he?

I have been observing people for a long time, and I have often found myself in the intern's shoes. More than once, I had 'hot potatoes' shoved down my throat. It’s easy to recognize: just watch what the mentor does when you choke.

A normal mentor would adjust. Simply because he understands: the training program is a company asset entrusted to him. If one intern chokes, the second one—something is wrong. Of course, you could keep blaming them, saying 'those damn hipsters, they don’t know anything, what’s wrong with the youth these days...', or realize that they’re all like that now, and if you want new decent people—design the training program to prepare them rather than filter them out.

But an abnormal mentor would just assert himself. He might say something like, 'Well, you still have a whole world to explore before looking into this topic.' Sure, you can do that, but why did you include it in the training program then? Or 'I can’t help you; the problem is somewhere in the school you attended, or you read the wrong books in your childhood.'

No, pravzaprav sem to napisal le tako.

Ja, izgube so enake nič. O tem bom pisal posebej.
