Quick Deploy vm ESXi s Terraform

Pozdravljeni vsi, moje ime je Ivan in sem alkoholni sistemski administrator (OPS).

Rad bi vam povedal, kako namestim virtualne stroje na ESXi brez vCenter z uporabo Terraform.

Precej pogosto morate namestiti / znova ustvariti virtualne stroje, da preizkusite to ali ono aplikacijo. Zaradi lenobe sem razmišljal o avtomatizaciji procesa. Iskanje me je pripeljalo do čudovitega izdelka podjetja hashicorp, terraform.

Mislim, da veliko ljudi ve, kaj je Terraform, in kdo ne ve, je to aplikacija za upravljanje katerega koli oblaka, infrastrukture ali storitve z uporabo koncepta IasC (Infrastruktura kot koda).

Kot virtualizacijsko okolje uporabljam ESXi. Precej preprosto, priročno in zanesljivo.

Zakaj teraformirati, če lahko uporabljate strežnik vCenter?

Seveda lahko, ampak. Prvič, to je dodatna licenca, drugič, ta izdelek je zelo intenziven in preprosto ne ustreza mojemu domačemu strežniku, in tretjič, možnost nadgradnje veščin.

Zaenkrat nastavimo esxi in sicer v nastavitvah požarnega zidu odpremo vrata VNC.

Privzeto je datoteka zaščitena pred pisanjem. Izvajamo naslednje manipulacije:

chmod 644 /etc/vmware/firewall/service.xml
chmod +t /etc/vmware/firewall/service.xml
vi /etc/vmware/firewall/service.xml

pripni naslednji blok na konec datoteke:

Izhod, shrani. Spremenite pravice nazaj in znova zaženite storitev:

chmod 444 /etc/vmware/firewall/service.xml
esxcli network firewall refresh

Dejansko do ponovnega zagona gostitelja. Po tem bo treba to manipulacijo ponoviti.

Nadalje bom vse delo opravljal v virtualnem stroju na istem strežniku.

Značilnosti:

OS: Centos 7 x86_64 minimal
RAM: 1GB
HDD: 20GB
Selinux: disable
firewalld: disable

Naprej, potrebujemo pakirnica, prav tako produkt podjetja HashiCorp.

Potreben je za samodejno sestavljanje "zlate" slike. ki jih bomo uporabljali v prihodnje.

Na poti pakirna različica lahko pride do napake, saj lahko RedHat-based vsebuje paket z istim imenom.

Za rešitev lahko ustvarite simbolno povezavo ali uporabite absolutno pot /usr/bin/packer.

Zdaj potrebujemo ovftool Naložite povezavo. Prenesite, postavite na strežnik in namestite:

Na githu sem pripravil vse, kar potrebujete.

git clone https://github.com/letnab/create-and-deploy-esxi.git && cd create-and-deploy-esxi

V mapo iso namestiti morate distribucijski komplet operacijskega sistema. V mojem primeru je to centos 7.

Prav tako morate urediti datoteko. centos-7-base.json:

variables: указать свои данные для подключения

Po vseh spremembah zaženite sklop:

/usr/bin/packer build centos-7-base.json

Če je vse pravilno konfigurirano in podano, boste videli sliko samodejne namestitve operacijskega sistema. Ta postopek mi vzame 7-8 minut.

Po uspešnem zaključku v mapi izhodni pakirnik-centos7-x86_64 ova datoteka bo najdena.

Namestite Terraform:

Ker Terraform nima ponudnika za ESXi, ga morate zgraditi.

Smo na cilju. Pojdimo razviti našo sliko.

Gremo v mapo:

cd /root/create-and-deploy-esxi/centos7

Najprej uredite datoteko spremenljivke.tf. Določiti morate povezavo s strežnikom ESXi.

V datoteki network_config.cfg vsebujejo omrežne nastavitve bodočega virtualnega stroja. Spremenite se po svojih potrebah in zaženite enovrstičnico:

No, v datoteki main.tf spremenite pot do datoteke ova na svojo, če je drugačna.

Če je vse opravljeno pravilno, bo v 2-3 minutah nameščen nov virtualni stroj iz predhodno izdelane slike.

Uporaba vsega tega je omejena le z vašo domišljijo.
