Debian 10.10 Update

The tenth patch update for the Debian 10 distribution has been released, incorporating accumulated package updates and fixing issues in the installer. The release includes 81 updates addressing stability issues and 55 updates rectifying vulnerabilities.

The highlights of changes in Debian 10.10 include the implementation of support for the SBAT (UEFI Secure Boot Advanced Targeting) mechanism, which solves issues with revocation of certificates used to sign bootloaders for UEFI Secure Boot. The default repository name in the APT package manager has been changed from stable to oldstable. The clamav package has been updated to the latest stable version. The sogo-connector package, which is incompatible with the latest version of Thunderbird, has been removed.

Installation builds will be prepared for download and installation 'from scratch' in the coming hours, along with a live iso-hybrid of Debian 10.10. Previously installed systems that are kept up to date will receive the updates present in Debian 10.10 through the standard update installation system. Security fixes included in new Debian releases are made available to users as updates are released through the service security.debian.org.
