For many years, scientists around the world have been engaged in two tasks — inventing and perfecting. And sometimes it is unclear which of these is more challenging. Take, for example, ordinary LEDs, which seem so simple and mundane that we hardly take notice of them. But if you add a bit of excitons, a pinch of polaritons, and tungsten disulfide […]
Looking at the current variety of educational robotics, it's uplifting to see that children have access to a vast array of kits and ready-made products, and that the ‘entry’ bar to the basics of programming has been set relatively low (even down to preschool). There is a growing trend of introducing children first to modular-block programming, followed by a transition to more advanced languages. However, this situation was not always the case. 2009-2010. Russia began the mass […]
September is coming to an end, and with it, the calendar of ‘adventures’ of the Fairytale also draws to a close — a set of tasks unfolding at the intersection of the real world and other, virtually-imagined realms. Below, you will find the second part of my personal impressions related to the ‘completion’ of these ‘quests’. The beginning of the ‘adventures’ (events from September 1 to 8) and a brief introduction are described here. The global concept is outlined here. The Fairytale continues on September 9. […]
Introduction This article describes the capabilities and architectural features of the Citrix Cloud platform and the set of Citrix Workspace services. These solutions are central elements and the foundation for implementing the concept of digital workplaces from Citrix. In this article, I tried to analyze and articulate the cause-and-effect relationships between cloud platforms, services, and Citrix subscriptions, the descriptions of which are in the open […]
Let’s start with the news. Yesterday, Yandex.Cloud announced the launch of their serverless computing service, Yandex Cloud Functions. This means: you write only the code for your service (for example, a web application or a chatbot), and the Cloud automatically creates and maintains the virtual machines where it runs, and even replicates them if the load increases. You don’t have to think at all — it's very convenient. And you only pay for the time […]
Hacktoberfest 2019 Proslavite Hacktoberfest sudjelovanjem u zajednici otvorenog koda.
Izdelani so bili popravni izdaje programskega jezika Ruby 2.6.5, 2.5.7 in 2.4.8, v katerih so bile odpravljene štiri ranljivosti. Druge [>>…]
