Brskalnik je osredoto\u010den na zagotavljanje anonimnosti, varnosti in zasebnosti, ves promet pa preusmeri le preko omre\u017eja Tor. Neposreden dostop skozi obstoje\u010do omre\u017eno povezavo trenutnega sistema ni mogo\u010d, kar prepre\u010duje sledenje pravemu IP-naslovu uporabnika (v primeru vdora v brskalnik lahko napadalci dostopajo do sistemskih parameterov omre\u017eja, zato je za popolno blokado morebitnih uhajanj priporo\u010dljivo uporabiti produkte, kot je Whonix). Razli\u010dice Tor Browser so pripravljene za Linux, Windows in macOS. Oblikovanje nove razli\u010dice za Android je zamaknjeno.    <\/p>\n<p>Za dodatno za\u0161\u010dito je v Tor Browser vklju\u010deno dopolnilo HTTPS Everywhere, ki omogo\u010da uporabo \u0161ifriranja prometa na vseh spletnih mestih, kjer je to mogo\u010de. Za zmanj\u0161anje gro\u017eenj z napadi z uporabo JavaScript-a in privzeto blokiranje dodatkov je prilo\u017eeno dopolnilo NoScript. Za boj proti blokadi in in\u0161pekcijam prometa se uporabljata fteproxy in obfs4proxy.     <\/p>\n<p>Za organizacijo \u0161ifriranega komunikacijskega kanala v okolju, kjer je vsak promet razen HTTP blokiran, so na voljo alternativni transporti, ki, na primer, omogo\u010dajo obvladovanje poskusov blokiranja Tora na Kitajskem. Za za\u0161\u010dito pred sledenjem premikanju uporabnika in prepre\u010devanjem izstopanja specifi\u010dnosti, zna\u010dilnih za dolo\u010denega obiska, so onemogo\u010deni ali omejeni API-ji WebGL, WebGL2, WebAudio, Social, SpeechSynthesis, Touch, AudioContext, HTMLMediaElement, Mediastream, Canvas, SharedWorker, WebAudio, Permissions, MediaDevices.enumerateDevices in screen.orientation, prav tako so onemogo\u010dena orodja za po\u0161iljanje telemetrije, Pocket, Reader View, HTTP Alternative-Services, MozTCPSocket, 'link rel=preconnect', modificiran libmdns.      <\/p>\n<p>V novi
