Knji\u017enica SDL nudi orodja, kot so strojno pospe\u0161eno izhod 2D in 3D grafike, obdelava vnosa, predvajanje zvoka, izhod 3D preko OpenGL\/OpenGL ES\/Vulkan in mno\u017eico drugih pripadajo\u010dih operacij. Knji\u017enica je napisana v jeziku C in se distribuira pod licenco zlib. Za uporabo zmo\u017enosti SDL v projektih v razli\u010dnih programskih jezikih so na voljo vezave. Koda knji\u017enice se distribuira pod licenco Zlib.     <\/p>\n<p>U novom izdanju:   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Pove\u010dana je natan\u010dnost izhoda horizontalnih in vertikalnih \u010drt pri uporabi OpenGL in OpenGL ES.\n<li class=\"l\"> Dodana je oznaka SDL_HINT_RENDER_LINE_METHOD za izbiro metode risanja \u010drt, ki vpliva na hitrost, to\u010dnost in zdru\u017eljivost.\n<li class=\"l\"> Funkcija SDL_RenderGeometryRaw() je bila prenovljena za uporabo kazalca na parameter SDL_Color, namesto celega vrednosti. Podatki o barvi so lahko predstavljeni v formatih SDL_PIXELFORMAT_RGBA32 in SDL_PIXELFORMAT_ABGR8888.\n<li class=\"l\"> Na platformi Windows je bila odpravljena te\u017eava z velikostjo lastnih kazalcev.\n<li class=\"l\"> V Linuxu je bila vzpostavljena dolo\u010ditev vro\u010dega priklju\u010dka igralnih krmilnikov, ki je bila motena v razli\u010dici 2.0.18.    <\/ul>\n<p>Poleg tega lahko omenimo izdajo knji\u017enice SDL_ttf 2.0.18 z obratom nad pisavnim motorjem FreeType 2, ki nudi orodja za delo s TTF-pisavami (TrueType) v SDL 2.0.18. V novi izdaji so vklju\u010dene dodatne funkcije za skaliranje, upravljanje izhoda, spreminjanje velikosti in dolo\u010danje parametrov TTF-pisav, dodana pa je tudi podpora za 32-bitne glife.<br
