Projekt vodi Eric Raymond ob sodelovanju nekaterih razvijalcev izvirnega NTP Classic, in\u017eenirjev iz podjetij Hewlett Packard in Akamai Technologies ter projektov GPSD in RTEMS. Izvorne kode NTPsec se distribuirajo pod licencami BSD, MIT in NTP.    <\/p>\n<p>Me\u0111u promenama u novoj verziji:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Spremenjeno je usklajevanje paketov protokola Mode 6, kar lahko privede do te\u017eav s skladnostjo s klasi\u010dnim NTP. Protokol Mode 6 se uporablja za prenos informacij o stanju <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/sl\/server\/dts-los-angeles\/\"   title=\"stre\u017enika\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3615\">stre\u017enika<\/a> in spremembi vedenja stre\u017enika v \u017eivo.\n<li class=\"l\"> V ntpq je privzeto vklju\u010den algoritem \u0161ifriranja AES.\n<li class=\"l\"> S pomo\u010djo mehanizma Seccomp je omogo\u010dena blokada neustreznih imen sistemskih klicev.\n<li class=\"l\"> Vklopljen je urni reset nekaterih statisti\u010dnih podatkov. Dodani so bili dnevni\u0161ki datoteki z bele\u017eenjem statistike NTS in NTS-KE vsakih eno uro.
