Originalni sklop programov iptables, vklju\u010dno z ip6tables, arptables in ebtables, je bil leta 2018 razvr\u0161\u010den med zastarele in je v ve\u010dini distribucij \u017ee nadome\u0161\u010den z nftables.    <\/p>\n<p>V novi razli\u010dici:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> V orodju iptables-nft je bila implementirana podpora za atomsko dodajanje in zamenjavo pravil v eni transakciji. *filter -A FORWARD -m comment --comment 'new rule being replaced' -R FORWARD 1 -m comment --comment 'new replacing rule' COMMIT\n<li class=\"l\"> V orodju xtables-monitor je bila dodana podpora za prepoznavanje operacij brisanja osnovnih verig (INPUT, FORWARD, OUTPUT) in izpis v tem primeru ukaza 'iptables -X ime_verige'.\n<li class=\"l\"> Zagotovljeno je prevajanje v format nftables pravil s protokolom '-p sctp', vendar brez izrecnega navedbe modula '-m sctp', kot se to naredi za TCP in UDP (zadostuje, da navedete '-p tcp' ali '-p udp', medtem ko se '-m tcp' ali '-m udp' uporabi samodejno).\n<li
