Tokom godina ste nau\u010dili kako se njome dobro rukuje, napravili ste ku\u0107icu za pse, par \u0161upa i mo\u017eda \u010dak i ku\u0107u. Ponekad se javljaju problemi, recimo, zakretanje \u0161rafa sekiricom ne ide uvek brzo, ali to se obi\u010dno re\u0161i uz malo strpljenja i nekakve muke. <\/p>\n<p>In the vicinity, a wealthy neighbor appears, possessing a plethora of various tools: electric saws, nail guns, screwdrivers, and who knows what else. He is ready to rent out this wealth 24\/7. What to do? The option of grabbing an axe and redistributing wealth is dismissed as politically ignorant. The most sensible approach would be to learn about the tools, how they can complement each other for different tasks, and under what conditions they are rented out.<\/p>\n<p>Since this motive was primary for me, the preparation was structured accordingly \u2013 to find a fundamental guide and study it diligently. And such a guide <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Certified-Solutions-Architect-Study-Guide\/dp\/111950421X\/ref=dp_ob_title_bk\">was found.<\/a><\/noindex>The book is written rather dryly, but this is unlikely to deter those who have studied math using Fichtenholz.<\/p>\n<p>I read it cover to cover and believe that it fully meets its intended purpose \u2013 it provides a good overview of both the services themselves and more general concepts that may be encountered on the exam. Additionally, a nice bonus is the ability to go through a somewhat peculiar registration procedure on Sybex and answer the review questions and practice exams from the book online.<\/p>\n<p><i>An important point: I studied using the 2016 edition of the book, but AWS changes rapidly, so look for the most recent edition available at the time of preparation. For example, questions about availability and durability for various classes of S3 and Glacier often appear in practice tests, but some of the figures have changed compared to 2016. Additionally, new ones have been added (for example, INTELLIGENT_TIERING or ONEZONE_IA).<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>The second motive: \"65 shades of orange\"<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Intense thinking requires certain efforts. But it is no secret that many programmers experience sadistic pleasure from puzzling problems, questions, and sometimes even exams.<\/p>\n<p>I believe this pleasure is largely akin to playing \"What? Where? When?\" or, let's say, a good game of chess.<\/p>\n<p>In this sense, the current AWS Solutions Architect Associate exam is quite good. Although during my preparation, some of the review questions turned out to be rote-learning types, such as<i>How many elastic IP addresses can be held in a VPC?<\/i>\"ali \"<i>What is the availability of S3 IA?<\/i>Na samem izpitu takih vpra\u0161anj ni bilo. V bistvu je skoraj vsak od 65 vpra\u0161anj predstavljal mini nalogo za na\u010drtovanje. Tukaj je dovolj tipi\u010den primer iz uradne dokumentacije:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Spletna aplikacija omogo\u010da strankam nalaganje naro\u010dil v S3 vedro. Tako nastali dogodki Amazon S3 aktivirajo funkcijo Lambda, ki vstavi sporo\u010dilo v \u010dakalno vrsto SQS. Sode\u010d po vsem, so se dobro potrudili: zdaj je tam 65 vpra\u0161anj in 130 minut nanje. \u010cas, ki ga porabimo na vpra\u0161anje se je pove\u010dal, a skoraj ni prehodnih vpra\u0161anj. Na koncu sem odgovarjal, porabljal minuto ali dve na vsako vpra\u0161anje, nato pa sem se vrnil k ozna\u010denim in pre\u017eivel 20 minut na njih.<\/p>\n<p><b>Motiv tretji: \"\u010ce bi mladost vedela, \u010de bi starost znala\"<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Kot je znano, je ena najpogostej\u0161ih razlogov za zavrnitve, ki jih programerji prejemajo po 40. letu, zmanj\u0161ana sposobnost u\u010denja v primerjavi z mladimi.<\/p>\n<p>Kljub temu imam ob\u010dutek, da so se nekatere sposobnosti u\u010denja pri meni celo izbolj\u0161ale v primerjavi s \u0161tudijskimi leti \u2013 zaradi ve\u010dje vztrajnosti in izku\u0161enj, ki omogo\u010dajo, da privabim znane analoge za malo znana vpra\u0161anja.<\/p>\n<p>Toda ob\u010dutki so lahko prevarant. Ja, nekajkrat sem zaspal v hammoku, ko sem bral priro\u010dnik \u2013 a to se lahko zgodi vsakomur.<br \/>\nZdaj imam certifikat in dostojne to\u010dke za izpit kot znak pripravljenosti.<br \/>\n\u2003<br \/>\nIn short, here's some motivation, although it probably wasn't the case for me.<\/p>\n<p><b>Not the first motivation: \"Money\"<\/b><\/p>\n<p>There are interesting <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/louiscolumbus\/2019\/02\/11\/15-top-paying-it-certifications-in-2019\">studies from \"Forbes\"<\/a><\/noindex> that highlight which specialists with certain certifications are the highest paid in the world, and AWS SAA is in an honorable 4th place there.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"O seki in zelje.\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/c0c00f36225702a7c7000b9afba9d1d8.png\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><br \/>\n<br \/>\nBut, first of all, what\u2019s the cause and what\u2019s the effect? I suspect that these folks earn well <br \/>\ndue to certain skills, and these same skills help them pass certification. Secondly, I have nagging doubts that anyone would be paid $130K a year outside the US, no matter how many certifications they hold.<\/p>\n<p>And in general, it\u2019s known that after satisfying the lower levels of the pyramid, salary ceases to be the main factor.<\/p>\n<p><b>Not the second motivation: \"Company Requirements\"<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Companies may encourage certifications or even require them (especially if they are needed for partnerships, for example, to enter AWS APN in Amazon's case). <\/p>\n<p>But in our case, an independent product is being produced; moreover, we try to avoid vendor lock-in. So no certifications are required. They might praise and pay for the exam as recognition of certain efforts \u2013 that\u2019s the whole formality.<\/p>\n<p><b>Not the third motivation: \"Employment\"<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Having certifications might be a plus for getting a job, all else being equal. But I have no plans to change jobs. I'm interested in working on a complex product that actively uses many modern approaches and AWS services. There\u2019s plenty of that at my current job.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, different cases occur: over my 23 years in IT, I've changed jobs about 5 times. It's not guaranteed that I won't have to switch again if I last another 20 years. But if they hit, we\u2019ll cry.<\/p>\n<p><b>Koristno<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In conclusion, I\u2019ll mention a few more materials that I used while preparing for the exam and just as \"tools to sharpen the saw\":<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> Video courses <noindex>pluralsight <\/noindex>in <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/acloud.guru\/\">cloud guru<\/a><\/noindex>. The latter are said to be particularly good if you purchase a subscription with access to all practice exams. However, one of the conditions of my game was not to spend a cent on preparation, and buying a subscription didn't fit well with that. Moreover, I generally find the video format less dense in terms of information per unit of time. However, when I prepare for SA Professional, I will likely get a subscription.<\/li>\n<li> Toni urad\u017ene dokumentacije, vklju\u010dno s F.A.Q in WhitePapers.<\/li>\n<li> No in zadnja, a pomembna stvar \u2013 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/s?k=9781119558439&amp;i=stripbooks&amp;linkCode=qs\">preverjevalni testi<\/a><\/noindex>.
