The current total size of the KDE Frameworks libraries, the KDE Plasma desktop environment, and the basic KDE Gear application suite amounts to 8,173,148 lines. The volume of code has doubled compared to 2009 (when it was 4,273,291 lines). The total number of lines added to the repository, taking into account changed and deleted lines, is estimated to be 55 million.
16.2% of the current code belongs to KDE PIM (Personal Information Management), 15.8% to KDE Plasma, 14% to KDE Frameworks, and 9.6% to KOffice/Caligra.
