Endeavoring to stick to our tactics, for the second consecutive year, we conclude the year in first place among companies. There's no recipe or secret ingredient involved â just daily work that yields results. Much like in the gym, where you donât cut corners.Â
Below, we analyze the blog activity over the last 4 years.
All calculations in this publication are based on an analysis of the CSV file containing information on all blog posts, which can be exported from the corporate blog control panel â thanks to Habr for this opportunity.
The Blog on Habr
Here one could simply write down some numbers, but itâs much more pleasing to compare them with figures from previous periods. Considering that we've been maintaining the blog on Habr for four years, itâs quite possible to observe the trends:
2016. The blog contains 72 posts â 58 (80%) of which received a positive rating and 14 (20%) received a negative rating.
2017. There are 170 posts on the blog, of which only one (0.58%) has a negative rating.
2018. 260 posts have been published, all of which received a positive rating.
2019. In the voice of Dudya: Three hundred and eight posts.Â
Among those, 308 posts have a positive rating.Â
In 2018, it seemed to us like we were going crazy â with 247 working days in the year, we published 260 posts, which means one post per day and a bit more on weekends. This year, the working days are the same, yet the number of posts has increased â weâve found our rhythm, picked up the pace, and the workload doesnât seem unbearable. Moreover, it feels like this isnât the limit of our capabilities â there's a sense that in 2020, we might go even further, so you can read us twice a day đ Just kidding (though thereâs a grain of truth in every joke).Â
We are still focused on translations â selecting content from across the network that fits our primary target audience of developers and administrators. We choose the content ourselves, translating it based on readers' requests. We consider this the optimal approach â the quality of the publication and the community's reaction can be anticipated in advance, allowing us to calculate resource costs. However, it can no longer be said that the RUVDS blog consists solely of translations â this year we decided to increase our efforts on original content. Nga 308 publikime, nuk kishte asnjë me vlerësim negativ, megjithatë ishin minuta (për më pak se vitet e kaluara). Më shumë se 13232 vota janë dhënë për to (11870 të mira dhe 1362 të këqija), vlerësimi total i postimeve është 10508, domethënë vlerësimi mesatar i postit është +34 (në 2018 ishte +25).
