U publikua platforma mobile LineageOS 22, e bazuar në Android 15

Është prezantuar lëshimi i platformës mobile LineageOS 22.1, e bazuar në kodin e Android 15. Theksohet se dega LineageOS 22 ka arritur barazi në funksionalitet dhe stabilitet me degën 21, dhe është e pranuar si e gatshme për formimin e lëshimit të parë. Ndërtimet janë përgatitur për 132 modele pajisjesh (23 pajisje më shumë se në LineageOS 21). LineageOS gjithashtu mund të iniciohet në emulatorin Android Emulator dhe në ambientin e Android Studio. Për më tepër, është ofruar mundësia e ndërtimit në modalitetin Android TV dhe Android Automotive.

Përveç publikimit të LineageOS 22, vazhdohet mbështetja e degës LineageOS 21, për të cilën janë formuar ndërtimet shtesë për 57 pajisje. Janë azhurnuar gjithashtu degët LineageOS 19.1 dhe 20.0, në të cilat janë transferuar rregullimet për eliminimin e dobësive. Numrat e lëshimeve të LineageOS janë sinkronizuar me numrat e azhurnimeve të katërmujorëve të Android. Numri i parë i degës LineageOS 22 ka marrë numrin 22.1, pasi ai përputhet me azhurnimin e parë katërmujor të Android 15 QPR1 (Quarterly Platform Release). • Default for listening to music and managing your music collection is a new application called Twelve. It notes that the code base of the previously offered music player Eleven, which has been in use since 2015, is outdated and does not meet the requirements of modern Android versions. Notable features of Twelve include a modern interface in the 'Material You' style, proper functionality in both portrait and landscape modes, support for most protocols for connecting to network music libraries (Subsonic, OpenSubsonic, Jellyfin), support for streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, SmoothStreaming), an improved search system, the ability to resume playback from a paused position after the device is rebooted, additional visualization presets, and an option to skip pauses between tracks.
• For viewing documents in PDF format, the Camelot application is used, allowing the viewing of some PDF files that were not supported by the previously offered Jelly application. The old application used a WebView browser engine, while the new application is built on the Jetpack library used for rendering PDF files in Chrome.
• The SeedVault and Etar applications have been updated to the latest releases.
• The WebView component has been updated to the Chromium engine version 131.0.6778.200.
• Utilities for extracting resources from APK files (extract-utils) have been rewritten — the unpacking stage on some devices has decreased approximately 30 times (from 180 to 6 seconds).
• Unofficial support for installing LineageOS in virtual environments with virtIO (QEMU, crosvm, UTM) has been added.
