Version 7.20 of the Memtest86+ memory testing program is now available. The program is not tied to any operating system and can be launched directly from the BIOS/UEFI firmware or from a bootloader for a complete memory check. In case of detecting issues, the built-in bad memory mapping in Memtest86+ can be utilized within the Linux kernel to exclude problematic areas using the memmap option. The project code is released under the GPLv2 license.
