N\u00eb kuad\u00ebr t\u00eb projektit Kerla, po zhvillohet b\u00ebrthama e sistemit operativ e shkruar n\u00eb gjuh\u00ebn Rust. B\u00ebrthama e re \u00ebsht\u00eb fillimisht e orientuar drejt sigurimit t\u00eb kompatibilitetit me b\u00ebrtham\u00ebn Linux n\u00eb nivelin ABI, \u00e7ka do t\u00eb lejoj\u00eb ekzekutimin e skedar\u00ebve t\u00eb ekzekutuesh\u00ebm t\u00eb pa modifikuar, t\u00eb nd\u00ebrtuar p\u00ebr Linux, n\u00eb nj\u00eb mjedis t\u00eb bazuar n\u00eb Kerla. Kodi shp\u00ebrndahet n\u00ebn licencat Apache 2.0 dhe MIT. Projekti zhvillohet nga zhvilluesi japonez Seiya Nuta, i njohur p\u00ebr krijimin e sistemit operativ mikro-b\u00ebrtham\u00eb Resea, i shkruar n\u00eb gjuh\u00ebn C. <\/p>\n

N\u00eb faz\u00ebn aktuale t\u00eb zhvillimit, Kerla mund t\u00eb punoj\u00eb vet\u00ebm n\u00eb sisteme me arkitektur\u00eb x86_64 dhe implementon thirrje themelore sistemore, si write, stat, mmap, pipe dhe poll, mb\u00ebshtet sinjalet, kanalet e paem\u00ebrtuara dhe kalimet midis konteksteve. P\u00ebr menaxhimin e proceseve, ofrohen thirrjet si fork, wait4 dhe execve. Ka mb\u00ebshtetje p\u00ebr tty dhe pseudo-terminalet (pty). P\u00ebr zhvillimin e komponent\u00ebve t\u00eb nivelit t\u00eb ul\u00ebt, si\u00e7 \u00ebsht\u00eb b\u00ebrthama e OS-s\u00eb, Rust ofron mb\u00ebshtetje p\u00ebr treguesit raw, paketimin e strukturave, inserte inline n\u00eb assembler dhe inkorporimin e skedave n\u00eb assembler. P\u00ebr t\u00eb punuar pa u lidhur me bibliotek\u00ebn standarde ka paketa t\u00eb ve\u00e7anta crate p\u00ebr kryerjen e operacioneve me stringje, vektore dhe flamuj bit.
