Caliptra \u00ebsht\u00eb nj\u00eb bllok i ve\u00e7ant\u00eb harduerik me memorje, procesor dhe realizimin e primitivave kriptografik\u00eb, q\u00eb siguron verifikimin e procesit t\u00eb ngarkes\u00ebs, t\u00eb firmave t\u00eb p\u00ebrdorura dhe t\u00eb konfigurimeve t\u00eb ruajtura n\u00eb memorjen e pazbrazshme t\u00eb aparatit. <\/p>\n

Caliptra mund t\u00eb aplikohet p\u00ebr integrim n\u00eb \u00e7ipa t\u00eb ndrysh\u00ebm t\u00eb bllokut t\u00eb pavarur harduerik, i cili kryen verifikimin e integritetit dhe garanton p\u00ebrdorimin n\u00eb pajisje t\u00eb firmave t\u00eb verifikuara dhe t\u00eb autorizuara nga prodhuesi. N\u00eb Caliptra parashikohet gjithashtu mund\u00ebsia e verifikimit t\u00eb autenticitetit t\u00eb azhurnimeve t\u00eb firmave dhe t\u00eb dh\u00ebnave t\u00eb lidhura me platform\u00ebn (RTU, Root of Trust for Update), identifikimit t\u00eb d\u00ebmtimeve t\u00eb firmave dhe t\u00eb dh\u00ebnave kritike (RTD, Root of Trust for Detection), rikthimit t\u00eb firmave dhe t\u00eb dh\u00ebnave t\u00eb d\u00ebmtuara (RTRec, Root of Trust for Recovery). <\/p>\n

Zhvillimi i Caliptra po kryhet n\u00eb platform\u00ebn e projektit t\u00eb p\u00ebrbashk\u00ebt Open Compute, q\u00eb ka si fokus zhvillimin e specifikacioneve t\u00eb hapura p\u00ebr pajisjet q\u00eb furnizojn\u00eb qendrat e t\u00eb dh\u00ebnave. Specifikacionet e lidhura me Caliptra shp\u00ebrndahen duke p\u00ebrdorur marr\u00ebveshjen Open Web Foundation Agreement (OWFa), e cila \u00ebsht\u00eb zhvilluar p\u00ebr shp\u00ebrndarjen e standardeve t\u00eb hapura (t\u00eb ngjashme me licencat e softuerit t\u00eb hapur p\u00ebr specifikacione). Midis algoritemeve t\u00eb mb\u00ebshtetur kriptografik\u00eb jan\u00eb deklaruar SHA256, SHA384, SHA512, ECC Secp384r1, HMAC-DRBG, HMAC SHA384, AES256-ECB, AES256-CBC dhe AES256-GCM.
