Ladybird employs a multi-process architecture where the process responsible for interface formation is separate from the processes that handle web content, send network requests, decode images, and store cookies. Handlers associated with image decoding and network interactions are allocated to separate processes to enhance isolation and security. Each tab uses a distinct web content processing process, isolated from the rest of the system. For interface construction on macOS, AppKit is used, while on Android, the native API for graphical interface creation for that platform is utilized, and on other platforms, Qt is employed.
