The color depth for video processing using the CPU has been increased\u2014data is now transferred between filters with 10- or 12-bit color representation per channel. Many effects, including transitions and track blending operations, have been converted to 10-bit representation. Previously, 10-bit representation was only supported in certain effects and filters using the GPU, while CPU-based operations were carried out in 8-bit representation, even if the original video had a higher color depth.\n
A transition has been made to image processing in a linear color space, allowing for the elimination of color distortions when blending pixels during scaling, blurring, or overlaying. The use of linear color space requires more computations due to transformations and significantly lags in performance compared to the old mode; thus, settings provide the option to choose the operating mode and color bit depth (submenu Settings > Processing Mode): \u2018Native 8-bit CPU\u2019 (the fastest and most compatible with filters), \u2018Native 10-bit CPU\u2019 (slower but better quality), \u2018Linear 10-bit CPU\u2019 (the slowest but the best quality), and Linear 10-bit GPU\/CPU (experimental).\n
A dropdown menu has been added to the \u2018Filters\u2019 menu for navigating through filters suitable for the selected processing mode (GPU, 10-bit, Color, RGBA, and YUV).

The \u2018Filters\u2019 menu now displays color filters by default in the context of color operations and audio filters in the context of audio operations.\n
An interface for navigating presets for the image or video generator based on HTML templates has been added (New > Image\/Video from HTML). Two new HTML presets have been added: Chrome and Neon Flux for overlaying text on video with chromatic and neon glow effects.

External components such as FFmpeg, the MLT framework, and the Frei0r effects system are used during the program's operation. A self-sufficient package in AppImage format will be prepared for installation shortly.\n
The new version of Kdenlive offers a new flexible docking system that allows grouping widgets and displaying\/hiding them as necessary.
