N\u00eb vjesht\u00ebn e vitit 2016, kompania Oracle mori vendim<\/a><\/noindex> p\u00ebr kalimin e projektit n\u00ebn mb\u00ebshtetje t\u00eb Fondacionit Apache, pas s\u00eb cil\u00ebs u transferuan 4 milion rreshta kodi dhe t\u00eb drejtat p\u00ebr t\u00eb gjith\u00eb tekstet burimore q\u00eb lidhen me NetBeans, si dhe marka tregtare \u00abNetBeans\u00bb, domeni \u00abnetbeans.org\u00bb dhe disa elemente t\u00eb infrastruktur\u00ebs. Komponent\u00ebt e projektit jan\u00eb ri-licencuar \u2014 kodi \u00ebsht\u00eb kaluar nga licencat copyleft GPLv2 dhe CDDL n\u00eb licenc\u00ebn Apache 2.0.
