Irina, solving a problem, resembles a small, clueless child who, thinking he knows something about this life that has unexpectedly come upon him, genuinely believes that the computer, his by right, will endure forever and quietly tolerate everything, like a dog that smells of yesterday’s rain (what was I trying to say with this sentence…).

On one hand, one can get bogged down in these rules and write, like Leo Tolstoy, sentences that are a page long. So that later schoolchildren will struggle.

But there is a simple solution that will prevent you from ruining a sentence. Make your sentences short. Not "It was getting dark.", of course – I think one or two lines will be enough, no more. By following this rule, you won’t get confused.

Yes, and it’s better to keep paragraphs small. In the modern world, there is a so-called 'clip thinking' – a person is unable to absorb large chunks of information. Like a child, you need to divide a cutlet into small pieces so that he can eat them with his own fork. If not divided, you’ll have to sit next to him and feed him.

Well, it’s simple from there. The next time you write a text, read it over before sending, and find: nominalized verbs, participles, and gerunds, sentences longer than one line, paragraphs thicker than five lines. And revise.
