Regarding kernel work, Linus expressed that it is both boring and interesting. Boring because it involves tackling the routine of fixing bugs and organizing code, and interesting because it constantly requires dealing with new technologies, interacting with low-level hardware, and monitoring everything that happens.<\/p>\n

About COVID-19, Linus mentioned that the pandemic and isolation modes did not affect development since interaction processes are based on communication via email and remote development. None of the kernel developers Linus interacts with were affected by the infection. Concern arose when one of his associates went missing for a month or two, but it turned out to be related to tunnel syndrome.<\/p>\n
